Assignments:
1. Go to the MeasureUp website created by Towes. This website is the best there is to practice reading and document use with real workplace documents. Please print off and complete 2 document use exercises. (Be sure you click on the "Document Use" skill, not Reading or Numeracy. If you don't have a printer at home, come to class to pick up 2 exercises to complete. If you look carefully, the answers, and the steps to getting them, are there as well if you need help.

a. Search an occupation you are interested in. Search by "occupation", not keyword or the other options.
b. Write down the NOC (National Occupation Code) of your chosen occupation.
c. Look up it's Essential Skills Profile.
d. Write down the most important essential skills needed for this job.
e. Write down 3 document use tasks that someone in this job may need to perform.
